Promise Vancouver

Poster design for Promise Vancouver, an organization that engages youth in the Downtown Eastside with year-round programming.

The project? Create an awareness campaign about the Himalayan Blackberry, an invasive species that crowds out low-growing vegetation and can create thickets so dense it limits the movement of large animals.

Hand-drawn cartoon blackberries and a Dogwood plant take center stage to illustrate the negative impact this species has on native plants in a playful manner intended for audiences of all ages.
